For me the lonely groups of naked birches against the large extent of empitiness which is the upper Svartå Valley in Västmanland,and snow,such as it can typically look an early evening in December,meaning around 3 pm,
has an austerity which is hard to like but easy to admire.You can feel - for a moment the bare fact of your existence,as if it were an ongoing disturbance in the landscape.
